She studied Tai Chi and Qigong directly with internationally recognised Chinese masters and qualified as an Instructor for the John Ding International Academy of Tai Chi Chuan. She was a regular contributor for many years to the international magazine Tai Chi and Alternative Health.

Liz was a Director and Principal Teacher for the European Shiatsu School from 1999 to 2015 and taught regularly in Hertfordshire, London, Devon, Marlborough, Ireland and France.   She was a registered practitioner, teacher and teacher trainer with the Shiatsu Society (www.shiatsusociety.org) and had a private Shiatsu practice in Hertford for over 20 years, before retiring from Shiatsu teaching in 2015.

She has undertaken Bangor University’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher Training plus subsequent retreats and training.

Many years have been spent in intensive spiritual practice, including regular silent retreats, mostly based on teachings from various Buddhist traditions.

She works across a wide spectrum of clients, students and organisations, from Age UK and other charities through to stress reduction in the corporate world.

It is important not to see energy-based work in isolation and Liz pursues opportunities to liaise with Western medical health professionals for mutual exchange of information, as well as continuing research into understanding modern Western scientific explanations of the knowledge gained over thousands of years by Oriental practitioners.  She is a member of the Scientific and Medical Network (www.scimednet.org).

Liz would like to thank all her teachers, students and clients who have contributed to her development and learning.  In particular, the following teachers have played important roles in her understanding of energy work and spiritual development:

Zlata Vrabec; Bryan Nuttall; Dai Qiao Lin; Zhixing Wang; Sifu John Ding; Pauline Sasaki; Clifford Andrews; Dr. John Peacock; Dr. Simon Child; Ajahn Sumedho; Stephen Batchelor; Lama Yeshe Rinpoche; Suzuki Roshi.

She fervently believes in nurturing individuals’ own innate ability to heal themselves and aims to empower her students and clients to take charge of their own health and energetic development. Her intention is to encourage direct experience of energetic concepts and the mind/body connection with a very down to earth, easy, open and light-hearted approach.
